Finch's early career was influenced by John Gould, David Lack, and, of course, the Grants. His current research is intended to discover why waterfowl always swim in the opposite direction.

Emeritus (Retired to Montana, where is working on his bird life list)

Louie has several research interests which include behavior ecology of squirrels and rabbits. He also has an intense focus on neurogastronomy, especially when using jerky as his model organism.
